The University of Cincinnati (“UC” for short) is a public comprehensive research university located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Founded in 1819, it is the second oldest public institution of higher learning in the United States. The Princeton Review named the University of Cincinnati the best public university in the Midwest. The school is in the same league as Case Western Reserve University and Ohio State University.
The University is ranked 25th among public research universities in the United States and in the top 5% of 2,500 prestigious research universities in the world, with the University of Cincinnati’s Career Planning Center ranking first in the country. The university was ranked 200th in the world in the 2015 Best Global Universities Rankings by U.S.News.
